DSA Remote Video Monitoring System Introduction
DSA Remote Video Monitoring System is mainly composed of three parts, the field device of substation (or called Substation Device), communication device and control center supervisory control terminal (or called Master-Station Device). This system is based on techniques such as video transfer, multi-host control, alarm response, video monitor, image compression, network communication, telecontrol and telemetry, etc. It realizes monitoring (local, remote or through network), alarming, querying, controlling and directing (on emergency occasions) via various communication channels such as telephone line (PSTN, DDN, ISDN), fiber optics (2M), microwave, ratio (extended frequency), Wide Band (10M), and so on. It has become one of the most important parts of the MIS. When accident happens, it will alarm and handle the situation immediately, and pop out corresponding GUI automatically.
DSA Remote Video Monitoring System is applicable for substations, power plants and public places of various voltage levels.
DSA Remote Video Monitoring System and DSA Distributed Substation Automation System can be dynamically connected to be an integrated system.

- Instantly capture accident and abnormal events, and automatically pop up corresponding pictures.
- Automatically pop up corresponding pictures after remote control operation, substation entry, smog warning, or manual field operation.
* Video can be indexed and played back conveniently. * Warning message can be sent to the person in charge by SMS automatically. * Support 352 576,352 288,176 288 resolution. * Video compression adopts MPEG2 or MPEG4 digital coding. Support TCP/IP network protocol.
- MPEG2 compression technique provides high-resolution image with DVD quality. But the channel transmission bandwidth must be higher than 1Mb/s.
- MPEG4 has the advantages of good compression quality, high compression ratio, and occupying less channel resources. When CIF format (352
288) is adopted, the transfer rate is 25 frames/s and the typical value of code-stream is only 200Kbps.
* Programmable group switching function can switch all output-channels in one operation under special situation.
