SJ-500 Series Microprocessor-based Controller

Introduction

SJ-500 series microprocessor-based controller is designed as a local control unit (LCU), which is able to acquire signals and control equipment in the field of hydro-power plant by connecting with them directly. There is MMI equipped on the penal of SJ-500 and for which it is possible to operate independently which disconnected from plant level computer, SJ-500 could work with various devices supplied by other venders. Both single and dual arrangement of SJ-500 are flexible, so it is easy to configured fully or party redundancy to enhance its availability.

SJ-500 can be applied in hydro-power plants, pumping stations, pumped storage plants and other industrial areas.

Features

  • SJ-500 series device is connected with plant level station computers by Ethernet to complete a monitoring and control system with perfect functions and high reliability, which is suitable to control normal and cascade power plants in their unmanned on duty operation mode. 
  • SJ-500 consists of PLC and others, which fully satisfy the special requirement in power industry, such as disturbance resistant, flexibility, easy maintenance and so on. So far SJ-500 has got a nice title of best buy from end users.
  • There are many choices of PLC for SJ-500, e.g. GE 90-70 and GE 90-30 series, MODICON TSX Quantum series, SLC500 series supplied by AB, universal MODECELL series by ABB.
  • Corollary equipment of SJ-500 are SOE-1 events sequence recorder, ACS-1 intelligent AC signal acquisition device,  SJ-12 series synchronizer, SJ-22 series speed measurement device, SJ-40 series temperature measurement and protection device ,SJ-18 clock standard system and SJ-32 series dual computers switchover device, DOP-1 switcher repeated or failed selection protection device.

More than 500 sets of SJ-500 have been used in more than 90 hydro-power plants such as Danjiangkou, Lijiaxia, Gezhouba, Longyangxia, Tianshengqiao first grade, Geheyan, Manwan, Wujiangdu, Fuchunjiang,(including gate control). Danjiangkou project won the second prize of the National Science & Technology Progress Award, first prize of the Hydro Ministry Science & Technology Progress Award. International project includes Tishrin hydro-power plant of Sybia.
